The Carnival Development Corporation (CDC) is taking steps to enhance the appeal of the 2016 Calypso Semi-Finals, with the hope of attracting more young people.
The disclosure came from Chief Executive Officer of the CDC, Ashford Wood, during a News Conference hosted by the CDC last week.
Mr. Wood said 22 Calypsonians will be selected from the preliminary judging phase to compete in the semi-finals on Friday June 24th.
He said that the CDC will be looking to improve on the level of attendance at this Show.
