Head coach of the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Senior Men’s Football Team, Cornelius Huggins says the team will be seeking to put their poor results so far behind them, when they go into tomorrow’s 2018 FIFA World Cup Qualifying match against Trinidad and Tobago at the Arnos Vale Sports Complex.
In their earlier matches, St. Vincent and the Grenadines were beaten 6-1 away to the United States, and lost 3-nil at home to Guatemala.
More recently, St. Vincent and the Grenadines were beaten 4-nil by Martinique in a Friendly International at Victoria Park.
Huggins says that despite those losses, the National Footballers are fully focused for tomorrow’s match which is scheduled to kick-off at 3 pm.
The Trinidad and Tobago squad arrived here yesterday and will have their final pre-match training session at the Arnos Vale Sports Complex later today.
Trinidad and Tobago and the United States head the Group with 4 points each after one win and a draw. Guatemala are on 3 points from a win and a draw, with St. Vincent and the Grenadines at the bottom of the standings from two defeats.
