Scotiabank Junior Under-15 Cricket Final
Sandy Bay Secondary School won the Inaugural Scotiabank Junior Secondary School Under-15 Cricket Championship defeating Petit Bordel Secondary School by 9 wickets yesterday at Arnos Vale (2) Playing Field.
Petit Bordel were shot for a mere 63 off 15.5-overs as Carando Nanton 5 for 15 and slow medium Javid Baptiste 2 for 16 wrecked their innings.
Led by a blistering 49 not out, eight fours and two sixes from Javid Baptiste, Sandy Bay Secondary School reached 64 for one off just 5.3-overs, to complete and even win.
The Presentation Awards went to most runs, Omarion Ottley of the Thomas Saunders, most wickets, Ntini Delpesche of Thomas Saunders Secondary and Tyreese Francis of George Stephens Secondary with 13 wickets each.
Best wick-keeper, Dellano Moore of George Stephens Secondary, Best all-rounder, Omarion Ottley of Thomas Saunders Secondary with 134 runs and 11 wickets and MVP in the Final was Javid Baptiste of Sandy Bay Secondary.
Third place, George Stephens Secondary, second place Thomas Saunders Secondary and the champions, Sandy Bay Secondary.
The Championship was sponsored by Scotiabank to the tuned of EC$20,000.00.
National Club Championships Football Results
Sion Hill thumped Ton Store Jugglers 5-nil in Round Eight matches of the National Football Club Championships on Saturday.
In another match, Jebelles FC defeated Parkside Rollers 4-2.
Tomorrow at Victoria Park also in Round eight matches, Guardian General Hope International will face-off with Campdonia Chelsea at 5 pm and 7 pm, Avenues United will clash with Bequia Football League.
Biabou Football League Results
Hairoun Groove Street Ballers and LP Boys of Georgetown played to a one all draw on Sunday in the Hairoun Beer Biabou Football League at the Biabou Playing Field.
Joey Sayers scored the goal for Hairoun Groove Street Ballers. The goal for LP Boys of Georgetown was scored by Romaldo Wright.
On Saturday, seven goals were scored as Owia United defeated COMPUTEC Cane End 4-3.
Daverson Lavia scored (2) and Jevorn Pollard (1) for Owia United and they benefitted from an own goal scored by COMPUTEC Cane End.
The goal scorers for COMPUTEC Cane End were Orande James (2) and Codale Clarke (1).

Sandy Bay Secondary School won the first ever Title in the Scotiabank Junior Secondary School Under-15 Cricket Championship defeating Petit Bordel Secondary School by 9 wickets yesterday at Arnos Vale (2) Playing Field; and the the Final of the Scotiabank Kiddy Cricket Primary Schools Skills Festival will take place today at the Arnos Vale Sports Complex.
