The St Vincent and the Grenadines Calypso Association last Saturday hosted a Judges’ Symposium.
The symposium was held at the NIS Training Room and saw a total of 18 persons participating; both current and prospective judges.
President of the Calypso Association- Earl Bennette said the objectives of the Symposium are to broaden and refresh the judges’ pool, retool the current judges and equip the prospective judges with the requisite tools for judging calypso and, ragga soca and soca.
Mr. Bennette said the judges were expected to cover both theoretical and practical exercises at today’s Symposium.
