The Salvation Army in St. Vincent and the Grenadines is appealing to Vincentians to continue supporting the programs which they host to assist the less fortunate in the country, throughout the year.
Commanding Officer of the local Salvation Army- Major Pierre Antoine told NBC News they have been assisting the less fortunate in the country for more than 100 years and they will continue to assist in this regard.
He said they have a wide range of programs which they host on a daily basis and he is appealing to members of the public to continue donating whatever they can to the Salvation Army.
Major Antoine also thanked members of the public for their contribution towards the recent Christmas Kettle Appeal which was a huge success and he is encouraging people not to wait until it is Christmas to donate to the Salvation Army.
