Vincentians who have an interest in enlisting in the British Armed Forces have been reminded of the requirements which must be fulfilled
The reminder has come from Director of Foreign Policy and Research in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Sandy Peters-Phillips.
Mrs. Peters-Phillips says several persons have been contacting the Ministry to determine if British personnel would be coming here to recruit persons for the armed forces.
She explains that this would not be in keeping with the current procedure for enlisting in the British Armed Forces.
Mrs. Peters-Phillips says there was a period in the past, when the British had waived the residency requirement for Commonwealth citizens wishing to join the armed forces, but this arrangement is no longer in place.
