A trough system on Friday caused some flooding and minor damage to feeder roads on the Windward side of the island.
Deputy Director of the National Emergency Management Organisation (NEMO), Michelle Forbes said that the heavy rains on Friday afternoon were not a result of the El Nino phenomenon, but rather the interaction of the trough system with our mountains.
Ms Forbes is reminding the general public that although this country has had some heavy rainfall, we are still in the dry season and should practice water conservation.
