Naturopath, Dr. Stan Horne, is calling for greater attention to be placed on post-menopausal symptoms in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
Menopause, also known as the climacteric, is the time in most women’s lives when menstrual periods stop permanently, and they are no longer able to have children.
Speaking on NBC’s face to Face programme this morning, Dr. Horne said women and their loved ones need to be more aware the changes which takes place in women during and after Menopause.
Dr. Horne said women who have experienced Menopause have an increased risk of heart disease and Osteoporosis.
Dr. Horne is encouraging women to take the necessary precautions to minimize this risks.
