The local chapter of Soroptimist International will collaborate with the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Bar Association to host a Panel Discussion tonight on the New Domestic Violence Act of 2015.
Development Officer of Soroptimist International and President of the SVG Bar Association- Rene Baptiste told NBC news that the discussion forms part of the Bar Association’s Access Justice Program, as well as, the Soroptimist program of Empowering Women, Transforming Lives.
The Panelists are Psychologist-Dr. Jozel Miller; Barrister at Law and Solicitor-Paula David; Co-ordinator of Gender Affairs in the Ministry of Social Development-Polly Oliver; and Head of the Criminal Investigation Department in the Police Force-Ruth Jacobs.
Ms. Baptiste, who will serve as Moderator for tonight’s discussion, said the is expected to be very enlightening.
Tonight’s Discussion is scheduled to commence at 7:30 at Frenches House.
