The Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force is reporting successes in the fight against certain types of crime during 2015 but murders is not one of them.
The Head of the Major Crimes Unit, Inspector- Atlan Browne giving an assessment on NBC’s Face-to-Face programme Monday, January 18, said there were 25 reported cases of murder in 2015, 10 of which were committed with firearms.
He said they are not happy with a growing trend in deception and the number of cases of counterfeit currency which has been surfacing here.
The police however, recorded some successes in taking off the streets, 30 firearms of various caliber and over 200 rounds of ammunition.
