Local Exporter Monica Ross has appealed to the relevant authorities to assist Exporters in overcoming some of the challenges which are impacting their operations.
Miss Ross, who has been in the export business for over 32 years, made the appeal as she spoke with the media at the Kingstown Port last week, as the first shipment of local produce left St. Vincent and the Grenadines for the region.
She said her main grievance is with the duties and taxes levied on Exporters.
She expressed the view that Exporters should be given concessions because without them, Farmers would not be able to trade within the region.
