St. Clair Prince, the Minister of Education has called for a collaborative approach to develop the education sector in 2016, as Teachers and Students across the country return to the classrooms t, following the Christmas Vacation.
In his Back to School Address, Mr. Prince welcomed all Teachers and students back to school for the beginning of the new calendar year.
He said he is grateful for the opportunity to serve in this capacity, but he is mindful that the business of Education needs all hands on deck.
Minister Prince also commended the former Education Minister Girlyn Miguel for her sterling contribution to the Education Sector over the years.
And For the second consecutive year, the Ministry of Education will hold a special church service to officially usher in the New Year.
According to a release from the Ministry of Education, the service will be held under the theme: Transforming Lives Through Selfless Service, and it is intended to pay homage to God and to seek His direction in future educational pursuits.
Special prayers will be offered for all educational institutions, for all persons in administration and for all other stakeholders in education.
The Sermon will be delivered by Bishop Wendell Roberts of the New Life Ministries
The Service will take place this Thursday 7th January at the New Life Ministries Church in North Union.
It will begin at 9:30 a.m. and is expected to bring together, Educators, Students and other stakeholders in Education. The event will be broadcast live on NBC Radio.
