The availability of land to increase Cocoa Cultivation is said to be a limiting factor for the St. Vincent Cocoa Company.
So says Chairman Harry Marriot, who was speaking at the launch of the St. Vincent Chocolate Company, a subsidiary of the Cocoa Company.
He said this country has perfect conditions for growing Cocoa, but land is the problem, as twenty percent of the arable lands is under cultivation.
However, in his response to this issue, Minister of Agriculture Saboto Caesar said that is not the case.
The Cocoa Company also launched the Vincentian Chocolate Bar at the Cocktail held at the Flow Wine Bar in Kingstown.
