The Ministry of Health is appealing to Vincentians to pay close attention to meat products which they are buying to consume during the current Christmas Season.
The appeal was made by Senior Environmental Health Officer, Carlos Wilson during an interview with NBC News.
Mr. Wilson said during this time, people tend to sell meats in buckets and under other unhealthy conditions, and he is appealing to consumers to be vigilant at this time.
He said consumers should ensure that meat which they are purchasing meets all the required health standards.
Mr. Wilson noted that during the Christmas season they normally increase their surveillance and they would continue to be vigilant.
