Mr. Grafton Cephas Isaac a past member of the House of Assembly, died on Saturday November 28th, 2015.
The former Upper Villa resident was 87.
Mr. Isaac had a lifetime career in law and politics. He was the area representative for the South Leeward constituency from 1974 to 1984.
Remembering Mr. Isaacs, colleague and friend Mr. Arthur Williams, said his approach was clear, straightforward, honest and no nonsense.
Mr. Isaac was the husband of Cecily. The father of Yolande, Joann, Renee, Rosella and Carson. The brother of Thelma, Olive, Luvesta, Adolphus and Leroy. The grandfather of Bernie, Jenise, Malik, Nathan, Micah, Jalyn and Maiah.
A State funeral for Mr. Grafton Cephas Isaacs, will take place today at the Methodist Church, Kingstown.
The funeral, which will include both a viewing and a service, will be open to the public.
His body will lie at the House of Assembly Chamber, Court House until 1.00 pm.
Governor General Sir Frederick Ballantyne will first view the body, then the Honourable Speaker of the House of Assembly; The Honourable Prime Minister; The Honourable Leader of the Opposition; Members of Parliament; Former Members of Parliament; The Judiciary; Members of the Diplomatic Corps and Visiting Dignitaries, and then the Members of the General Public.
The service will begin at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be at the Kingstown Cemetery.
All flags in the state will be flown at half-mast, as a mark of respect.
