While the voters list which stood at over 100 thousand was of much contention going into the December 13th 2010 General elections, according to the 2010 election report, only 62,993 votes were cast.
Of the 62, 993 voters, 32,099 votes were cast for the Unity Labour Party, while the New Democratic Party received 1,531 less votes with a total count of 30, 568.
Additionally, the SVG Green Party recorded an overall total of 138 votes from 13 constituencies. The SVG Green Party’s largest number of votes came from the South Windward and the South Central Windward Constituencies, recording a total of 18 votes each.
Meanwhile, of the 62,993 votes that were cast 188 were rejected.
Moreover, according to the Electoral office a total of 89,527 persons are eligible to vote in tomorrow’s general election, that figure is representative of 45, 823 males and 43,704 females.
The Electoral office also explains that the total number of new registrants from 1st January, 2011 to 23rd November 2015 is 11,904.
