It was a significant moment for Vincentians yesterday when a LIAT ATR Aircraft landed at the Argyle International Airport.
The Aircraft piloted by Vincentians Gregory Williams and Phil Gunsam landed just after four o’clock yesterday afternoon.
Addressing the gathering on site to view the LIAT Touchdown, Chief Executive Officer of the International Airport Development Company, Dr. Rudy Matthias said the event will feature prominently in the history of this country.
Meanwhile … In his address, Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves expressed gratitude to the persons who played an integral role in the project.
One Twin otter; a small private jet; two private planes; two islander aircrafts and a single engine private plane also landed at the new Airport.
