BREAKAWAY FIRMS FOOTBALL RESULTS
Individuals and Teams received at last Sunday’s Presentation Ceremony of the Digicel/Aeropost/St. Vincent Brewery Breakaway Firms Invitational Football Championship at the Grammar School Playing Field, following the Finals.
In Agricultural Input Warehouse Under-16 Division, Raheem Westfield of Volcanoes was the top goal scorer with (5), the Best Goal-Keeper was Zolandi Williams also of Volcanoes, the Most Outstanding Player was Ted Roberts of System Three (1) and the Youngest Player in the Tournament was Kadel Hector of Volcanoes at age eight years.
The Teams Round Robin Competition was won by A-DARE of Barrouallie with 13 points, Layou second on 10 points, third was System Three (1) on 7 points and Volcanoes fourth on 5 points.
In the Senior Division, Daniel Patrick of Fisheries was the top marksman with 13 goals, the Best Goal Keeper was Kenron Daniel of the Ministry of Education, who received the Ali Munroe Trophy, while the Most Outstanding Player was Zenroy Lee of the Ministry of Transport and Works and Anesta Richards of CWSA retained the Award for the Female Player of the Tournament.
Ministry of Education retained the League Title, second was CWSA, Fisheries third and fourth was Ministry of Transport and Works.
Wayne Smith won the Award for Male spectator and the Female spectator was Patrice Solomon.
NORTH LEEWARD FOOTBALL RESULTS
Two goals by Augustus Francois and one from Norris Lewis gave P’ Boys a 3-2 victory over Enforcers yesterday in the Rudy’s Electrical North Leeward Football Championship at the Petit Bordel Playing Field.
The goals for Enforcers were scored by Kalroy Douglas and Nashawn Douglas.
This afternoon at a quarter past four, Predators FC of Fitz Hughes will meet North Stars of Troumaca also at the Petit Bordel Playing Field.
MUSTIQUE FOOTBALL WEEKEND RESULTS
Lot 73 Strikers beat Rock Rollers 4-1 at the weekend in the Mustique Football League at the Mustique Playing Field.
In another match, Jig Saw United gained a 3-2 victory over Simplicity Sharks.
MINISTRY OF EDUCATION PRIMARY SCHOOL’S F’TBALL
Kingstown Preparatory School, Bequia Anglican School, Lodge Village Government School and St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Primary School have advanced to the quarter-finals of this year’s Primary Schools Football Championship following the completion of the First Round of Competition last Friday.
In the Quarter-Finals, Kingstown Preparatory will meet Bequia Anglican, Lodge Village Government will oppose St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Primary, Fancy Government play against Layou Government and Barrouallie Government meet Cane End Government.
All four matches will be played at Victoria Park, starting at 10 O’clock this morning.
David’s Holder of the St. Mary’s Roman Catholic School leads the most goals category having scored six goals from four games.
