Today, November 19th 2015, will be remembered as historic day in the life of Vincentians, as officials from the Government and the Eastern Caribbean Civil Aviation Authority, ECCCAA will carry out a Test Flight at the Argyle International Airport site.
The ECCAA Officials will go through their routine at Argyle in relation to the approach to the airstrip and the operation of the navigational aids.
The aircraft is expected to depart E.T Joshua Airport at about three this afternoon, with Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves, for the landing at Argyle.
There will be a short media event at Argyle, which will hear addresses by government officials, including Prime Minister Gonsalves.
Speaking to NBC news today Communications Officer at the IADC Jennifer Richardson urged persons coming to witness the test flight to follow the security measures that would be in place.
Richardson says while persons will still be allowed to cross the runway to get to the Rawacco and Mt. Pleasant areas, absolutely no lingering on the access road will be permitted.
