Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves said Government is on the verge of completing the Argyle International Airport.
Addressing supporters at a Political Rally at Arnos Vale last Saturday, the Prime Minister stressed not much work is left to be done on the project, and informed that Officials will be on hand this Thursday to carry out a test of the Runway Approach Light.
The project is being constructed at a cost of over 700-million EC dollars and the Prime Minister noted that all the funds are available for the completion of the Airport.
And Opposition Leader Arnhim Eustace said if elected to Government, the New Democratic Party would have to find a mechanism to complete the construction of the Argyle International Airport.
Mr. Eustace said the NDP has outlined its position on the Airport in its manifesto, which is expected to be distributed today.
He said however, the burden is going to fall on the New Democratic Party to finish the Airport.
