The opposition, New Democratic Party (NDP) alleges that the Government is withholding from Vincentians a World Bank report on the status of the health sector and how best the sector can be improved.
Speaking with NBC news earlier today area representative for West Kingstown Daniel Cummings says, the NDP saw it absolutely necessary to present the public with copies of the final document, which in a very comprehensive way, looked at the improvement of healthcare in St. Vincent and the Grenadines and the relocation of the Milton Cato Memorial hospital.
Cummings says the report was delivered by the World Bank consultants since July of 2014, but was never made accessible to the public.
Mr. Cummings claims the 2014 report painted a rather negative picture of the health sector of St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
