Members and supporters of the Unity Labour Party (ULP) are expected to turn out in large numbers this Saturday November 7th for a rally at the Grammar School Playing Field.
As the General Elections campaign gains momentum, there is speculation that the ULP’s Political Leader and Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves will announce the election date.
General Elections are constitutionally due by March 28th 2016. However, Prime Minister Gonsalves has repeatedly said that he will not hold the elections beyond his elected five year period in office.
General Elections in St. Vincent and the Grenadines was last held on December 13th 2010; and, the ULP was returned to office for a 3rd consecutive term, having first being voted into office in 2001.
The ULP is now seeking a 4th term in office, and is carrying out its election campaign under the slogan, “4 INNA ROW.”
Saturday’s rally is scheduled to commence at 5:30PM at the Grammar School Playing Field. The feature address is expected to be delivered by Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves.
