Local Health Experts have intensified activities in a bid to curb the spread of Non Communicable Diseases (NCDs) among nationals.
Focal point for Non Communicable Diseases in the Ministry of Health, Beverly Liverpool says the issue of NCDs and their consequences on society have become a matter of great importance.
Liverpool says statistics show that there is a growing number of young people are being affected by Non Communicable Diseases.
She says the goal of the Ministry is to reduce the burden of NCDs by addressing the identified risk factors with the hope that the population will pay attention to these risk factors.
