A group of Jamaican students arrived here yesterday to learn about how the Caribbean Single Market and Economy (CSME) is being implemented in CARICOM member states.
The students are part of a CSME Student Exchange Programme being co-ordinated by the Caricom Secretariat.
And, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, hosted a News Conference this morning to provide information on the programme.
Speaking at this morning’s Briefing, Director of Trade Cuthbert Knights urged the students to use the week-long visit as a learning experience. He advised them to engage with all the sectors involved in the programme.
Mr. Knights added that the CSME has been in the making for some time and it is time for it to be properly implemented.
