Police are probing the circumstances surrounding the accident that claimed the life of a 60 years old motor cyclist.
Kenron Sutherland of Georgetown died on Tuesday, October 27th, after crashing into a mini-bus at Diamond.
NBC Radio understands Sutherland, was driving his motor cycle along the Windward Highway when he encountered a truck that had stopped on the left hand side of the road, at the corner of the Diamond’s gap, the route which leads to the landfill.
However, it was said after passing the truck he lost control and crashed into mini-bus, HL 594, driven by Lester Jackson of Diamond, which had already stopped.
Sutherland sustained serious injuries, he was rushed to the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital when he died a short while later.
An autopsy is expected to be carried out on his body.
There have been 12 road accidents this year, which resulted in the deaths of 20 persons.
