The local Coast Guard says the two fishermen, who went missing at sea, earlier this week, have been rescued in Grenada.
Reports indicate that Ellis Roberts, who originates from Clare Valley and a another man who goes by the alias ‘Swaller’, both residents of Kingstown, were rescued in Grenada waters on Wednesday night (October 21st, 2015) by a fishing vessel.
They arrived on mainland Grenada, early this morning.
The men left Kingstown to fish west of St. Vincent and the Grenadines approximately 6a.m. on Monday, October 19th, 2015, but were not seen since.
They were onboard the vessel ‘Sunil’ with registration number J8-781CA and were expected to return to Kingstown on Monday evening.
A missing persons report was made to the Coast Guard on the evening of Tuesday, October 20th, 2015.
The Coast Guard had requested aerial support from Trinidad and Tobago in search of the men.
