The South Leeward Highway Rehabilitation Project advance to the next phase.
Contractors have begun pavement work on the Highway, from the Coconut Range Gap in Campden Park.
Community Liaison Officer for the Project, Marlon Stephenson says in order to facilitate the expediency of the project, the road will be closed to vehicular traffic tomorrow.
He is urging motorists and other road users to be mindful of this closure and to exercise patience.
Mr. Stephenson advises Traffic Police will be on hand to assist with the flow of traffic.
In April 2014, the Government of St. Vincent and the Grenadines and Dipcon Engineering Services signed a 25-million EC dollar contract for the rehabilitation of the highway, starting at the Bentick Square (the corner of the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital) and ending at Layou.
