Students across the nation will assemble at the Victoria Park tomorrow morning at 9:30 for the Schools Independence Rally, in commemoration of this country’s 36th Anniversary of Independence.
The Ministry of Education, in collaboration with the National Independence Committee, will host the Rally under the theme “Working together to enhance national pride”.
One of the highlights of the rally will be the official announcement and presentation of the 2015 National Scholarship Awards. These awards will be presented to the top performers in this year’s Advanced Level Proficiency exams. The student with the best results overall will also receive the Prime Minister’s Award for academic excellence.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education, Girlyn Miguel, is expected to deliver the feature address.
