The Annual Independence Lecture hosted by the University of the West Indies Open Campus, will be delivered by Vincentian Entrepreneur, Herbert Samuel
A release from the local Open Campus says, the Lecture will be delivered on Thursday October 22nd and will focus on the topic, ‘Independence: A 21st Century Toolkit For the Caribbean’.
Mr. Samuel is a Consultant and Entrepreneur, with a background in energy and electricity planning, engineering and project management.
He is the founder of Welectricity, a ground-breaking, multiple-award-winning, behavior-based web app that helps users track, compare and reduce their household electricity consumption without the use of any additional in-home devices or smart meters.
Earlier this year, Mr. Samuel was a recipient of the prestigious Anthony N Sabga Caribbean Award for Excellence, in the category of entrepreneurship – the first winner in this new category, and the third Vincentian to receive this regional award.
Tomorrow’s lecture will be presented at the Methodist Church Hall from 7:00 pm.
