Four hundred and fifteen students yesterday received scholarships from the Republic of China on Taiwan to pursue Education at the Primary, Secondary and Tertiary levels.
Delivering remarks at the presentation ceremony held at the Peace Memorial Hall, Minister of Education, Girlyn Miguel encouraged the recipients to always strive for excellence in their educational pursuits.
Minister Miguel added that education remains an area of high priority for St. Vincent and the Grenadines and the Republic of China on Taiwan, which have enjoyed more than three decades of bilateral relations.
And Taiwanese Ambassador to St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Baushuan Gerr said Education is the key to sustainable development.
