Hundreds of persons are expected to take part in the Third National Parade organised by the National Heritage Organization, which is set to take place tomorrow.
A release from the organisation says the Parade, which is sponsored by the St Vincent Co-operative Bank Ltd and the Bank of Saint Vincent & the Grenadines will begin at 1:00pm.
The procession will begin at the Cruise Ship berth, travelling through the streets of Kingstown and culminating at Heritage Square where there will be the opening of the Xtreme Heritage Village.
This year’s Parade will be held under the theme: We Love We: All Things Vincy and will feature over 40 performers, including Naked Roots, La Gracia, Rodney Small, Skinny Fabulous, Arabesque Dance Company, Resistance Drummers and Avenue Dancers.
The Parade will also recognise and pay homage to many Vincentians who have contributed to the development of St Vincent & the Grenadines. For the first time, it will also feature performance stops at the Banfield Gas Station, the Central Market and the Postal Corporation Building.
Following the National Parade, the opening ceremony of the Xtreme Heritage Village which will begin at 6:00pm in the Co-op Bank Car Park. The opening ceremony will hear remarks from sponsors and feature performances from several artistes and groups. The Village will run from Tuesday October 20th – Tuesday October 27th and will reflect an old time community, reminiscent of the type of lifestyle lived by our ancestors.

Thursday October 22nd – Pan in the Village (11:30am)
Friday October 23rd – All things Vincy (12:00pm)
Saturday October 24th – Rum & Food Festival (11am)
Ragga & Soca Competition (8:00pm)
Sunday October 25th – Worship in the Village (4:00pm)
Monday October 26th – Caribbean Karaoke, Vincy Comedy and Games Night (7:00pm)
Tuesday October 27th – Independence Day Activities: (Immediately following the Parade)
Traditional Games, National Wear Competition, Fashion Show, Special appearance by SVG Bikers and Miss Heritage Delegates.
