St. Vincent and the Grenadines is joining the rest of the global community in observing World Food Day today under the theme Social Protection and Agriculture Breaking the Cycle of Rural Poverty.
And Officials in the Ministry of Agriculture have challenged farmers to not only produce high quality crops, but also in high enough volumes to help sustain and build a healthier St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
In his address at an Agricultural Exhibition yesterday, Agriculture Minister Saboto Caesar said St. Vincent and the Grenadines is the first country to launch a parliamentary front on hunger and undernourishment.

A variety of products were on display at the Exhibition, which was held to observe World Food Day.
