Agricultural lands serve a multi-functional purpose in the society says Colville King, Agricultural Diversification Officer in the Ministry of Agriculture.
King, who was a panelist on the latest edition of NBC Radio’s “Views on Issues” programme said that agricultural lands are assets that are used to generate income, and provide the nation with food security.
Meanwhile, Leroy Jackson, Representative of The Ministry of Agriculture’s Research and Development department added, that World Food Day celebrations cannot just be a conversation about food, but a study on how much the world economy depends on agricultural production.
