And the Ministry of Education is partnering with NEMO and the Red Cross to host a number of activities.
The aim of International Day for Disaster Reduction is to celebrate how people and communities are reducing their exposure to disasters and raising awareness about the importance of Disaster Risk Reduction
The day will be observed under the theme Knowledge for Life.
The focus this year is on the traditional, indigenous and local knowledge which complement modern science and add to an individual’s and societies’ resilience
