Some sixty stakeholders in the agricultural sector and social protection agencies across the country will attend the Symposium, as part of activities leading up to World Food Day 2015.
The symposium is aimed at heightening public awareness on the contribution of social protection programs towards poverty reduction and food security.
The Ministry of Agriculture and the World Food Day planning committee will host the national symposium under the theme “Social protection and agriculture; breaking the cycle of poverty.
It takes place at the Methodist Church Hall from nine this morning.
