Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves has said that greater focus is being placed on intelligence-gathering, as Law Enforcement authorities take steps to tackle crime.
The Prime Minister, who holds the National Security portfolio, made the statement in response to a question from the media on Monday this week, in relation to the recent spate of shootings.
He said at the Press Conference that the Police have to be well informed to be effective.
The Prime Minister said two main factors appear to be responsible.
