Local Law Enforcement authorities are said to be placing greater emphasis on intelligence-gathering, as steps are taken to tackle crime.
Word of this came from Prime Minister and Minister of National Security, Dr. Ralph Gonsalves, as he responded to a question from the media this week, in relation to the recent spate of shooting incidents.
Dr. Gonsaves said the Police have to be well informed, to be effective.
The Prime Minister said two main factors appear to have caused the recent spate of shootings.
