The Royal St.Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force says it has launched an investigation into the death of a Questelles resident, who the Police say shot at members of the local constabulary, early Saturday morning.
According to the Police, preliminary investigations indicate that Police Officers were on duty at Huffles Ranch, Belvedere, a popular night club, when they heard gun shots in the vicinity shortly after 5:30 a.m. The Police say they saw a man shooting at another man and gave chase.
The gunman, who was later identified as Rawlson Williams of Questelles, started firing shots in the direction of the police, who returned fire.
Subsequently, Williams’ body was discovered near to a .357 Magnum revolver in some nearby bushes.
A post-mortem examination will be carried on the body.
