The Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment has been commended for its efforts in controlling the spread of the Chikungunya virus in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
The commendation came from Minister of Health, Wellness and the Environment, Clayton Burgin, while responding to a question at the recent sitting of Parliament.
Minister Burgin said the ministry acted swiftly and professionally to curb the spread of the chikungunya diseases, and added that the ministry has taken the necessary steps to prevent another outbreak of the virus.
