The Girl Guides of St. Vincent and the Grenadines will host a fundraising event this weekend to assist with the recovery and relief efforts for Dominica.
International Commissioner, Beverly Reddock states that as a service organisation, the Girl Guides Association sees it fit to assist its regional brothers and sisters in Dominica.
In its efforts, the Association would host a fundraising walk and ride dubbed “Step Forward for Dominica” on Saturday September 26, 2015 from 7:00 a.m.
Persons joining in the initiative will meet at the Girl Guides Headquarters in Level Gardens where they would register and contribute ten dollars to walk on the route stipulated by the Association.
Participants would walk through Level Gardens, McKie’s Hill, Murray’s Village, Sally Spring, Sion Hill, Cane Garden, Long Wall, Bay Street, and back to the headquarters.
The Association encourages Vincentians to join in the effort.
