Chief Agricultural Officer, Ashley Caine wants more emphasis to be placed on social protection, with proper arrangements put in place to facilitate the development of a healthier population.
Mr. Caine was speaking at the launch of the World Food Day programme for 2015, held at the National Public Library yesterday.
He said it is important that citizens embrace the concept of social protection. And he added that the progress made at the national level depends to a large extent on efforts made by individuals to develop themselves on a personal level.
Mr. Caine said he hopes that this year’s activities will help to promote stronger, healthier, and more vibrant communities.
