The Ministry of Agriculture will today launch activities to coincide with the day.
The aim of World Food Day is to raise public awareness about hunger challenges and encourage people worldwide to take action in the fight against hunger.
This year’s theme is “Social protection and Agriculture”.
The activities will be launched at the National Public Library Conference Room from nine this morning.
There will also be a ceremony for the handing over of supplies to the Animal Health and Production Division, under the BAM Project.
This ceremony takes place at Ministry of Agriculture Conference Room at ten this morning.
