Somerset, the Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police, Carlos James Rose Bank and Rudy’s Electrical won matches last weekend in the VINLEC North Leeward Twenty/20 Cricket Championship at the Petit Bordel Playing Field as the Tournament heads into the quarter-finals stage.
The RSVG Police thrashed Coulls Hill Rangers by 102 runs. The scores:
RSVG Police 212 for 6 off 20-overs, Kenneth Dember 52, Danson Andrews 40, Kenroy Williams 37; Devon Mars 2 for 40, Coulls Hill Rangers 110 off 18-overs; Devon Mars 22, Angus Cyrus 20; Parnell Browne 3 for 18.
Somerset beat Petit Bordel Secondary School by 8 wickets in a match reduced to 10-overs. The scores: Petit Bordel Secondary School 91 for 6 off 10-overs, Somerset 94 for 2 off 8-overs; Kevin Small 39 not out.
Carlos James Rose Bank won by default from Ajuba of Spring Village, who failed to show up for their match.
And, Rudy’s Electrical defeated Somerset by 18 runs in a match reduced to 10-overs because of rain. The scores: Rudy’s Electrical 138 for 3 off 10-overs; Christroy John 73, Dion John 31; Kevin Small 2 for 29, Somerset 120 for 4 off 10-overs, Kevin Small 74.
The Championship will continue this weekend with another four matches.On Saturday from 10 am, Coulls Hill Rangers will meet Petit Bordel Secondary School and Carlos James Troumana Starlight will oppose Rudy’s Electrical from 2 pm.
On Sunday from 10 am, the RSVG Police will face Sharps United and at 2 pm, Carlos James Peto Stars will do battle against North Stars.
All matches are played at the Petit Bordel Playing Field.
