The Division of Adult and Continuing Education, in the Ministry of Education, will be embarking on one week of activities to celebrate World Literacy Day, which is celebrated annually on September 8th.
Senior Education Officer John Zan George, told NBC News that the Division’s goal is to ensure that everyone has access to some form of educational experience, whether traditional or skills-based.
He said the week of activities is intended not only to highlight the work done by the Division, but to de-stigmatize Adult and Continuing Education.
The Adult and Continuing Education Division’s week of activities runs from the 7th to the 11th of September.
The theme for this year’s is “Celebrating Life-Long Education”.
