Bartender King Fields has earned the right to represent this country at the Angostura Global Cocktail Challenge.
He won from a field of five bartenders who blended and mixed drinks during the local leg of the Cocktail Competition put on by Angostura in conjunction with LOG Enterprises.
The contenders had seven minutes each to make two cocktails, one freestyle and one known, to present for Judging.
Fields an employee at Chill Spot, visibly overwhelmed, told NBC News, that this was his last competition year, as he will soon be taking up a post as Regional Ambassador for the Angostura Brand.
Meanwhile, Minister of Tourism Cecil McKie encouraged other providers of drinks in St. Vincent and the Grenadines to get involved in similar activities.
He said that competition such as this, not only give bartenders a way to showcase their talents but provide opportunities for regional and international exposure of this country.
