The Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment is placing greater attention on improving services for the prevention, control and management of HIV and Sexually Transmitted Infections.
To this end the Ministry in collaboration with the Pan American Health Organization, PAHO is hosting a three-day workshop on HIV/STI Management at the Methodist Church Hall.
In her address at this morning’s opening ceremony, Director of the HIV/AIDS/STI Unit Ferosa Roache said Sexually Transmitted Infections and HIV remain a public health problem of major significance in this country and others in the region.
Sister Roache said the Training Workshop for Healthcare Providers in the Clinical Management of STI/HIV is testimony of the Ministry’s commitment.
