St. Vincent and the Grenadines is on a mission to eradicate hunger by 2025.
This is part of an initiative by the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization, which was launched in September 2012 by UN Secretary General, Ban Ki-Moon.
As part of this initiative, a Motion was tabled in Parliament yesterday by Agriculture Minister Saboto Caesar.
In his contribution to the debate, Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves highlighted the successes which this country has made in fighting poverty, hunger malnutrition and under nourishment over the years.
The Prime Minister said while several sectors have contributed to this national quest, the role of women cannot be over emphasized.
