Delegates attending a Beach Profile Training programme this week, have been called upon to understand the importance of our beaches, and treat to them as the valuable resource they are.
The issue was raised by Chairman of the OECS Global Climate Change Alliance Adaptation Project, Anthony Bowman.
The Training session formed part of a wider sustainable land management project, which climaxes in 2018.
Mr. Bowman urged all stakeholders to monitor changes taking place and to educate others on sustaining and maintaining the resource.
Mr. Bowman added that individuals need to be made more aware about the importance of the marine areas.
