The Ministry of Transport and Works says steady progress is being made with the construction work on the South Leeward Highway Rehabilitation Project.
Work on the project commenced on August 18th 2014 and is expected to run for about 22-months.
The project is being funded by the Caribbean Development Bank, to the tune of 21-million EC-dollars.
Chief Engineer, Brent Bailey tells NBC News, that paving work should commence soon in the areas between Questelles and Campden Park.
Mr. Bailey said once the paving work commences he expect to see a speed-up in the pace of the project.
