Deputy Director of the National Emergency Management Organization NEMO, Michelle Forbes said while the 2015 Hurricane season has been relative inactive thus far, Vincentians must remember that the Hurricane season is not over as yet.
She said in Kingstown they will be focusing on having businesses become prepared for Disasters as they would have done in different communities throughout the country with their public sensitization programs.
Miss Forbes said they continue to hold these Disaster preparedness programs to ensure that the entire country is prepared for any eventuality.
Miss Forbes said although the 2015 Hurricane Season has been relatively quiet so far it only takes one weather system to cause major destruction and disruption to livelihoods and she is therefore appealing to residents to always be mindful of this.
